Who are the authorized users of the Library?
 

All bona fide students, faculty, employees, members of the Board of Regents and Officials of the University ​may use any of the libraries of the UP System upon presentation of a valid ID. Visiting scholars with University appointments, Cross registrants from other colleges and universities and special students, UP Alumni and Member of the "Friends of the Library".

 

How do I apply for a temporary ID?
 

Freshman / new students should present the following at the reference desk: a) Form 5; b) Official receipt for ID processing (pay P130.00 at the Cashier's Office); c) Appointment slip from the OUR for Polaroid UP ID; and d) 2 '1x1' ID pictures. The staff on duty will issue a green card that will serve as his/her temporary ID. Temporary IDs should be laminated.

 

How do I make my ID validated?
 

The UP ID together with the Form 5 is presented to the reference desk for countersigning. The College Librarian or her authorized representative affixes his/her valid signature on the sticker. Torn or worn-out ID will not be validated/countersigned, it must be surrendered to the Office of the Registrar for replacement.

 

Can I use someone else's ID?
 

The UP ID card is non-transferable. An ID presented by another person shall be confiscated and shall be subjected to disciplinary action. Any person who falsifies the ID shall after due process be suspended from the University for not more than one semester.
